If you're doing a one-off 1 GB scrape and don't want a monthly commit, Smartproxy's pay-as-you-go is simpler than any Proxaro tier.

Global coverage

Smartproxy's residential and mobile pools span many more countries than US-only Proxaro. Multi-country workloads are single-vendor on Smartproxy, multi-vendor if you use Proxaro for US + someone else for EU.

Meta's 2025 integrity rollout specifically checks whether a mobile ASN's BGP path is clean — i.e., whether AS21928 (T-Mobile) traffic is actually routing through T-Mobile's core, or being announced via a third-party reseller path. TikTok's stack checks the same signal.

Mixed-source mobile pools (common across the mid-market) fail this check at meaningful rates — not every exit, but enough to drop the effective success rate of TikTok / Meta automation workflows by 10–30%.

Explicit carrier selection in the API

On Proxaro's Carrier plan, you pass X-PX-Carrier: t-mobile or X-PX-Carrier: verizon and get that specific ASN. Smartproxy supports country and state targeting but not first-class carrier targeting — their mobile pool rotates through whatever's available, and you don't get to specify.

Migration notes

Migrating from Smartproxy to Proxaro:

• API translation. Smartproxy's parameter style (comma-separated query params) maps to Proxaro's header-based API. Most migrations are 1-2 hours of work.
